Behind the Scenes: Making of "The Baby's Room"

After cleaning out the room which had an old twin bed, wooden shelf and numerous other things we had collected over the years, we had something to start with.

First we added new carpet to match the carpet we installed in the upstairs living spaces.

Then came the shelf.

Meanwhile, Crystal was putting out the a bunch of the collected items on the shelf. Next we put up the cat border.

Next we had to decide on what to do under the border (you just can't do nothing). We played with a couple of ideas and finally came up with the cat paw prints. Crystal used a stamp pad and black ink to randomly pattern the wall.
Week 35: Mom works her magic at the sewing machine making the bumper for the crib. The bumper was the last thing on Crystal's list "needed" to be done before the baby could arrive.
