Life After Birth

Our little bundle of joy is certainly a handful, but this didn't stop us from enjoying the remainder of the summer.

Redskins first Pre-Season game against Buffalo. Johnnie partakes in some pre-game tailgating

The start of the season was filled with fireworks.
The Reed family gathered for a birthday party/going away party for Kevin. . Look out Kim, I think Samantha is getting hungry.
That's the night when the lights went out in Georgia (based on the Southern accents, at least that's where I thought I was). The simpler life by candlelight.
Thank goodness for flashlights though. Changing Samantha in the dark was a small adventure and a job for the whole team. The first annual alumni soccer game saw some of the old dogs trying to relive their old tricks. With a healthy mix of old and new alumni, the alumni team scored first and managed to give the current team a hotly contested battle. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.
Samantha's first Orioles game. Against the dominant Cleveland Indians we had little hope that the O's would pull this out with a relatively inexperienced pitcher, Doug Linton, on the mound. The O's handily beat the Indians in this game, but lost the remainder of the series.  Despite all the noise of the game, Samantha managed to sleep through most of it.
Boog's barbequed beef sandwich: $7.50
Souvenir soda: $3.50
Tickets to the game: $18
Parking: $5
Spending a day with your wife and daughter at the ballpark: priceless.
Rain threatened throughout the game from the oncoming tropical storm Dennis (storm 1 of the season). Fortunately the rain held off until after the game was finished.
Our second game the following week against Seattle saw Doug Johns pitching for the Os'. Another winner.
