10sonofront.jpg (18666 bytes) The 10th week was an unscheduled visit to the doctor's office. The weekend before Crystal started spotting a little and on Sunday night she was spotting even more. Needless to say we were expecting the worse news, but hoping for the best when we showed up at the doctor's on Monday morning.

Oh, how pleasantly surprised we were to see this big baby.
It was floating and dancing and just having a good time in there.
10sonorotated.jpg (68439 bytes) The baby is transforming from an embryo to a fetus this week. Most of the internal organs are formed and functioning.

Comparing our sonogram to the photograph looks like our baby is right on target.

No teeth, but oh what a smile.

The sexual organs and the intestines are still developing on the outside of the body. There is not enough room inside yet.

The spine begins to straighten. Soon the eyes will fuse shut closed for further eye development.
